My First Journal!

A few weeks ago, Michelle Allen invited me over to make a journal at her studio. I went for the first week and we made a fabulous stamp that we planned to later put on the cover of my journal. I hand carved this one that says "dance for Jesus." I am so proud!

Two weeks after that, I returned to her studio to begin creating my journal. I learned a lot about painting techniques, textures and creativity. I plan to continue doing the inside pages on my own.
Unbelievably, this is an old barney book that I covered......here is the front.....
and here is the back........

This is the first page that I later did at home. I plan to do much more color on the future pages but I wanted this page to be black and white because those are the colors of my dance school. I really like how there is a picture I took of me and a drawing I did in the same pose. I think it is really cool! I got the pose from a statue I have.

I really love how my journal is turning out and I can't stop gazing at it sitting on my shelf in my room! I am so thankful to Michelle for teaching me to make it and I can't wait until it is finished!

Spring Break!

I absolutely love spring break. It's always been so much fun! We usually go to the beach or somewhere else for a day. But this week I'm sitting around, having friends over and maybe going shopping and swimming. I love going to the beach but, 9 days to hang out and do whatever you want!?!?!?!? Awesome!

Lucky Girl

God has blessed me this week with many things.

There is an older teen girl that goes to my school and my dance school. She is very sweet, I am pretty sure she's a Christain and I admire her. One day about a week ago, my mom was picking me up and she saw this girl walking to her car and prayed, "Lord, please let my daughter and this girl connect." Well a few days after that I saw her at school and she ran up to me and gave me a big hug and we talked for a minute (strange because I barely know this girl) but I liked it a lot. At dance yesterday, we assigned parts for the recital. Her class is the Princesses and my class is the sidekicks of the princesses. Funny thing, because she got Princess Jasmine and I got the tiger, the sidekick of Jasmine! Today at school during pick up we gave each other a big hug and practically screamed about the recital. She said "I know we'll be best friends by the end of the year!" My mom and I are very thrilled about this and know that God has provided me with a new good friend.

Two of our friends in the last two days have given my mom and I HUGE bags of adorable clothes. We are very excited and my mom says we really needed them. Thanks Friends!

I'm Tagged!

I have been tagged, by my mother. So, i guess that means I should probably follow the rules and list 7 random facts about myself. Here they are:

1. I LOVE horses! You probably already figured that out just by looking at my blog! I have loved them since the first time I discovered them when I rode one with my mom when I was about 1 year old. I have wanted one ever since and I still don't have one! (hint, hint mom and dad) I ask them almost every day and mention that I want one on my Christmas and Birthday list about 20 times. It probably drives them crazy and that is just exactly my plan.

2. I have been sharing a room with my brother for 1 and a half years. But not for much longer, Cody! : ) Say goodbye to the torture! We move into our own rooms in just about 3 weeks. I AM SOOO EXCITED!!!

3. I LOVE to dance! Since I was only 3 years old I have been dancing. The first year I did ballet. After that I started tap and Jazz and that is what I have done ever since. I take lessons 3 days a week. I spend one of those days in a Jr. Performing Group and we perform all over the place. We are working on 3 Christmas dances right now and will be performing them at 6 different places. I love to perform in front of people and since I don't have time to do plays this is perfect for me. I get to do what I love to do in front of lots of people!

4. I love making random art projects! I have made quite a few in the past few months. I don't have many art supplies that are not in storage, but I have managed to make them.

5. I have always wanted to go to Europe and Hawaii. My mom backpacked through Europe when she was just a teenager with her friend and nobody else. Sounds fun huh (and scary)! But that's not how I wanna see Europe. I want to go with my family for a nice vacation. Same with Hawaii. Hawaii sounds so beautiful! I would not want to live there, though. Not with Hurricanes and it always being humid, hot, or rainy! I like it better here where there has not been any big disasters since I've been alive and we have mild weather. Although, I wouldn't mind living in Europe!

6. I probably know a lot of things that a lot of other adults don't know about construction. Since we started the remodel 1 and a half years ago, my dad has taught me and my family a lot about construction. You would be surprised how much I know. I could probably build a whole pole building with the help of my dad!

7. I know that I am God's sparkling treasure and that I am his beautiful daughter full of joy, confidence, and courage! I learned that from the best.

I will now tag as many people that I know that have not already been tagged. So, drum roll please, Alexis and Dad, you are tagged!

My Little Brother is Growin Up.....

My little brother turned 1 a few days ago.... it doesn't seem like it was a year ago that he was born. I don't want him to grow up. We had a little birthday celebration Sunday morning and we gave him a bone with some peanut butter on top of it and a candle. We sang him Happy Birthday and then mom blew out the candle! It was so cute!!!!! He sat on his bed and chewed on it for about a half an hour.
In dog years, he's becoming a teenager! He is such a spaz! He is so naughty and stubborn but yet so sweet..... I love my Tucker!!!!!
